Allt-Y-Mynydd Care Home is a beautiful historical building, set in extensive grounds amidst the Brechfa Forest and directly overlooking the picturesque Duar Valley in the heart of the West Wales. The Care Home grounds are a haven for local wildlife, and residents can enjoy spectacular views across the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Allt-Y-Mynydd has a lovely rural location, just three miles outside the market town of Llanybydder, and is within easy reach of Lampeter, Carmarthen and the M4.
The individual bedrooms are comfortably furnished and have vanity unit facilities, with many of the bedrooms also providing en-suite toilet/washrooms. All the bedrooms are fitted with a modern nurse call system, individual telephone point, thermostatic controlled heating and a television.

Allt-Y-Mynydd Care Home has close contacts with the local community, including working relations with the Community Dietician, District Nurses, Diabetic Nurse Specialist, Occupational Therapy, Palliative Care and local Chiropodist. We also provide in-home provision for Optician and weekly hairdresser services.
Our in-house Catering Team have a five star Food Agency rating, and can cater for all dietary requirements. We ensure a varied and seasonal based menu and endeavour to utilise some local suppliers.
The home has a designated light and spacious dining room, where residents are supported to enjoy the meal-time experience
At Allt-Y-Mynydd our aim is to promote patient centred care by developing and implementing individual programmes of recreational therapeutic activities for all residents.
We have a dedicated team of three staff providing structured group and an informal one-to-one activities programme for the residents, 7 days per week. These include day trips out, arts and crafts, reminiscence, music groups, booked entertainment and regular visits from local clergy, volunteers and befrienders.
When the Welsh weather permits we have a delightful patio areas and a summer house where residents can enjoy the delightful views. We recently opened a full functional themed 1940- 50’s café, for residents and families to visit, while enjoying hot beverages and nostalgic memories.
Residents and relatives are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms with personal pictures, specific items of furniture and keepsakes, to make the room more homely.
We have a pet cat called Paddy, who resides at Allt-Y-Mynydd Care Home.
The home has adopted a personal identification system for individual clothing called Attach-A-Tag, which is proving very popular.
We have quarterly Resident/Relative meetings, in which we encourage a free flow of information and discussion in all aspects of Home life.

Allt-Y-Mynydd is led directly in care provision and management by Amie Porter with a skilled team of Registered Nurses and Care Staff to provide a high standard of 24-hour care provision and supported living for our clients.
