This beautiful stone building is set in extensive and beautifully maintained grounds in the Parish union of Cardigan, just 3 miles from the traditional market and coastal town of Cardigan Bay.
The building has a lift from the ground to the first floor and is easily accessible with wheel chair friendly ramps and handrails. Resident accommodation and facilities are on two floors of the building, with the basement available for storage and the third floor used as a facility for staff and local providers for training.
Our newly refurbished communal sitting area is decorated in calming and relaxing colours with views to the front of the grounds. There is easy and open access to the dining area.
We also have the newly refurbished dome area situated central to the walkway, which will soon be themed as a street, the dome area is decorated to reflect a café and with a glass roof provides natural sunlight. This is where our activities worker tends to offer social support in a sociable environment. Here we also have two quiet areas decorated to reflect a relaxed mood with comfortable seating to spend quiet time alone, with staff or for private visits.
The building benefits from security provided by a key coded door entry system.
We have 36 single rooms, 2 of which offer en-suite facilities and we currently offer one twin room as a shared facility. There is a range of toilet, assisted bathroom and shower facilities on both floors all of which are clearly signposted for ease of access and orientation.
Outside, we have an enclosed sensory garden, provided and maintained by the friends of Bridell where residents and visitors can relax and take meals or light refreshments.
Access to the grounds and the shaded woodland path can be facilitated by staff as required and often you will see residents walking around or being assisted in wheelchairs to enjoy the fresh air in our relaxing natural surroundings.
